Yes, I have found Easyboots can cause bruising, but not where they are clamped
in front, but in the back, around the bulbs of the heals.  I had a horse that
needed to wear them almost full-time, but found I could NOT leave them on more
than a day out of a week or he would get not only bruising, but start
contracting.... but I am sure some horses could stand it longer.

The best use I have found is for temporary (until shoe replaced or on horse I
ride only occasionally) or over shoes in rocky or muddy terrain.  I have no
problems using them these ways...
