Winter in North Dakota

And by the way, I live in northern North Dakota, close to the Canadian border. And to keep this endurance related, my horses are out getting their daily workout to keep in shape for me for this next season. It is so nice to look out my picture window, watching them run down the road, kicking up snow as they go....... The only problem is, they are on the wrong side of the fence. We have had so much wind this past month, that the snow laying over the fence is rock hard, and they just walk right over it and get out. It is not too much of a concern because no one, I mean no one but us comes down our road except us.  But, (sigh) I suppose I should go out and lock the brats up in the corral again. So that means this weekend, my husband and I get to go out in below zero temperatures to try and put up a temporary fence in frozen ground to close off the trees to keep them in for the rest of the winter. Now Carla, doesn't that sound like fun????
