Mounting problems

I am 5'8" and use to weight 204 lbs. I had a hard time getting on any horse,
no matter what the height. I have bad knees and always blamed my knees for
my problems with mounting, because I did exercise and was in some shape.
Last spring, I got my butt in gear and joined Weight Watchers. And let me
tell you, I was amazed that even after a 10 lb loss, how much easier it was
to get up on my horse. Now after losing 50 lbs, I can swing right up on any
horse with no problem.

This is just my own experience, but I do think that exercise AND losing
extra baggage will help more with mounting then just getting a horse a few
inches shorter.
