I did mention in my post to Celeste that my gelding has pretty prominent
withers and I should have mentioned that, too.  If it don't fit, don't use
it!  In fact, last year, my horse gained some weight during the winter and
I couldn't use the McClellan early in the ride season because I was afraid
padding would not help.  As ride season wore on and he became leaner and
fitter again, it did fit again but it must fit them perfectly or it will
sore them.  He is the only horse on the place that it does fit.
