Of course you're not, Lif.  The hoof takes a year to grow from the
coronary band down to the ground, and the effects of not just *being*
barefoot but *working* barefoot will take a whole year to be complete. 
That doesn't mean that going barefoot for a couple of months doesn't
help, though.
