Endurance Horses and Cribbing

Hi,

I just had a vet check done on a gelding I am considering purchasing and he passed:-) But I do have one concern, he is a cribber and I know that horses that crib are prone to colic...the current owner has said he has never coliced. what are you thoughts on buying him for LD endurance? I am new to the sport, so my goal over the next year is to do 25 miles, and hopefully work into 50's in the next couple of years
