I assume that people who post to the list have a means of reading the list.
Most are chronic guest posters - they are subscribed, but some reason or
another chose to post as guests. Many are replies to posted messages. The
archives are available for those folks to see replies. It is a bit of a pain
to reply directly to guests. If most were truly guests, I would make the
effort. But most are not truly guests.
