Swelling
Barb Peck bpeck@together.net
Something to check:
1) If it's hard and hot, call the vet (may be infection).
2) If you bed in wood shavings, make sure there is not any
black walnut shavings mixed in by mistake (can cause
   poisoning (stocking up).
3) Could just be a sting or bug bites if you live
where the stinging bugs are still out.
Use Swat or Gold Nuggest Bug be Gone (slather it on).
4) Take him out and ride five miles, if it doesn't reduce
   in size, call the vet.
5) If you've wormed him lately, and he had a big worm
infestation, then it could be the toxins the dying worms
are producing.. in this case, it'll probably get worse
   (call the Vet).
Good luck,
Barb
