Reflectors vs lights

As a big city dweller and frequent night rider I found myself witnessing
several horse/car accidents and was almost run over myself twice. It has
been my experience, both as a user of and car driver, that refective
clothing and tape only works when lights are actually shining on the
reflectors. On narrow, curvey streets by the time the lights hit the
reflectors it's too late to avoid an accident. The little red blinking
lights joggers use aren't large enough to be noticable from any distance
away. I have a friend who has 12 of them hanging from her saddle and it
is still difficult to see the horse. I finally got so tired of the near
misses I came up with a solution that has everyone who sees me in awe.

I call them Spotcha Lights. They are in the process of being marketed.
For all intense and purposes we light you up like Robert Redford in The
Electric Horseman. A strand of lights attaches to your breast collar and
another strand is attached to the back of your saddle. The lights are
white so that you and your horse can actually be seen. The lights are
designed with the idea of motorists being able to see you, not you being
able to see the trail. They work great.

We're in the developing stages right now, so if anybody would like some
more information let me know and I'll write you the particulars.
