The Endurance riders that I know (myself included) don't resent the "racing
crowd". I respect people who can race a 50 or 100 miler and finish with a
sound fit to continue horse (especially if they can do it race after race --
THAT is awesome). Racing a 25 just doesn't appeal to me personally and I
don't see the need to "rank" people who do that. What's next? Racing a 12
miler, then.......flat track racing? For me personally, I think it is a
definite down grade in the sport. Flame away on THAT!!! Its called
"Endurance" it means 50 miles or more. end of subject. (not to say there
isn't a place for LD -- I'm bringing my youngster along in LD. Training
distance ... that says it all).
