[Fwd: Training ride today]

---- Begin included message ----
Hello folks, took my 5 yr. old gelding out for a "training" today. 10 miles of
one Moderately steep hill and up and down though the woods and clearings. Did a
mix if walk trot and canter as usual. At the canter we start out good but he
ends up with his nose in the air after a couple of hundred feet. Then I knock
him back to a trot and he settles back down. Go back to a canter and it's a
repeat. I'm considering a tie down for this problem. He's had plenty of
practice at the canter
but not in the woods. Any other suggestions welcome.
