RE: Phenylbutazone; vertebral trivia

Try Wild Turkey, Jack Daniels, Pernod, etc. Two ounces every two hours for
pain.

Phenylbutazone is still on the market in the US as a
prescription drug, though it's used far less than it once was.
Interestingly, (well, to me any road)
is the fact that the incidence of nasty side effects increases
with age, particularly in folks 40 and over, whcih is why I'm
glad I stopped taking the stuff years ago. (When I was young,
stupider, and immortal, the grooms at the barn used to smack
a 1 g tablet with a hammer, and divide it up for hangovers.)

There was the perennial emergence of the "Arabs have fewer
vertebrae" myth here recently, and Dr. Smith alluded to my
familiarity with some numbers.
Alas, I have not got a copy of my old musings on the subject,
and the Deja archive is still down for older Usenet posts,
but if I dig it out somewhere, I'll post it.

Meanwhile, anyone know any good drugs for tendonitis/rotator cuff
damage?
