Why don't you teach him the John Lyons way? It may take up to three-four 
hours, but it will last forever! It is so easy to do alone, and it works.  I 
have worked with some horses that folks claimed were impossible, and now they 
load every time they are asked. 
It's stress free, and you or the horse won't get hurt either.
