Dogs at RIDES... small child attacked at OD 100

Aaron aarmel1@hotmail.com
In response to Teddys story about the dog BITE, not a nip as she stated. My son was riding on a access road where ride manegement said was ok to ride. It was also before the ride started. She said she let her dogs out for a few minutes to stretch their legs after she just arrived. I am sure many people saw her dogs out for more than a few minutes, probaly more like the entire ride. Next, this is not the first time people have complained about these two dogs. Furthermore, my son had to go to the emergency room and have a puncture wound cleaned out. If you wanted to here crying you should have been in there with him. Yes ,he did continue to play but he does have a scar now the size of a dime on his ankle to remind him of his 9TH birthday trip with his Grandfather.
Then what about the muzzle? Teddy said she would have the dog muzzled from now on when she takes her away and also that her dogs are almost always tied at rides, not wanting them to wander or hurt someone else. Is there anyone that believes this ? Did anyone see the dogs tied up {even later on that weekend} or better yet did anyone see a muzzle on the dog at this weekends ride in KY? Seems to me, if you know you have a biting dog which we all now know Teddys dogs do BITE, the owner should be responsible enough to not bring that dog to a ride or at least tied up.
I do not think dogs should be banned from rides just restrained. Next kids on bikes should also be controlled so not to bother horses. But again my son was riding on an access where he was told to ride by management, not through Teddys campsite where he could have invoked an attack from a protective dog. I would welcome emails from anyone who has been chased , bit , nipped , or bothered by any of Teddys dogs.
Lastly it is stupid to put the blame on that "dogs have been trained for centuries to do... chase something that is moving." a owner must be held responsible for their pets. End of story.
