I love my vent pad--I've been using it with my sportsaddle---Haven't had to
wash a pad---most of the time even when the horses back is sweaty---my
saddle pad is dry...I can't say, however that my horses backs have stayed
dry---their backs are always sweaty after a ride..and without a temperature
gauge I can't tell you how much cooler their backs actually
are...However----if the back is sweaty and the saddle pad is dry then air
must be getting between the two---
