Re: RC: Thin horse

Stacia,
I use to have a horse with the same problem, he had a very sensitve
stomach and it was hard to find a way to keep weight on him.
I feed alfalfa and a grass mix with equine senior and some grain.
But lately I have found out that you can feed beet pulp dry.
So I feed wet beat pulp and bran together and that seems to be doing
fine he has gainned alot of weight back. Or just try giving him bran
with some grain in it. When you feed oil it can be extremely hard
on there stomach. You should talk to your vet if he has the runs this
bad. Good luck
Colleen K.
