What I can't figure out is if these magazines are going out of business, why
would they still be encouraging people to renew their subscriptions? Esp.
Whole Horse Journal - I subscribed for the last couple years, and just
hadn't gotten around to sending in my renewal this last time. I got a
renewal notice and letter every month for the past six months, including one
just a couple weeks ago. So, if I had sent in my check, I'd probably just be
out that money. I had paid for a 2 year subscription to Equine Athlete, and
it folded less than one year after my subscription started. No credit was
given for remaining paid year. It's hard for me to imagine that if they're
going to quit printing a magazine that they wouldn't know it at least a few
months prior to quitting. So why the push for renewals? Seems like a bit of
a ripoff to me. I really did enjoy both, and hate to see them end.
Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Same here with Whole Horse Journal and same experience you had with Equine Athlete, just a different monthly.
If I tried to do that with my business I'd probably be hung out to dry and shot at for target practice.
