Re: RC: Buying horses over the internet.

Tis is an example of how WONDERFUL an honest transaction can go. Indeed, any
horse will require differing lengths of time to adjust, just as people would;
but having bought 4 horses sight unseen, I have no porblem with thsi kind of
transaction, so long as the seller AND buyer have quality recommendations and
some kind of history of horse care. I do tend to be reluctant to sell a hrose
to a first time buyer if they haven't seen the horse, sinc ethey DON'T know
what to expect. But most of the time this works well. Just a thought - the
WORST purchase we EVER made was a SE young mare whom we had gone to visit 3
TIMES and each time she was turned otu to run for us or 'handled' by the barn
'manager' whatever THAT means. I know he carried a rake. That mare turned out
to be savage, attacking me, our kids, and finally her own foal. She left as
fast as we could unload her. So much for requiring a family horse with a good
mind!
