Deadman 30/50

My ride consultants tell me that our LD portion of the ride is really 30
miles long, so I stand corrected!

Again it is on April 8th. However, for any of you who want to come early
or stay late and see some REALLY NEAT country, there are three spots to
camp in the National Forest with horses within 30 minutes of the ride
camp. From these points you can ride up into the National Forest about
10 miles and see 1) amazing views of the Los Padres Wilderness to the
ocean on one side, 2) the Carrizo Plain on the other side, 3) ride with
the California Condors and 4) get to the Painted Rocks Camp in the
National Forest at an old indian encampment site with pictographs. You
need an Adventure Pass to park or camp in these areas but they are
available in New Cuyama.

Anyone who wants to make an extended forary in the area can contact me
for more information. These mentioned areas are all along the Cuesta to
Sespe 200 mile Trail.
