So if I get you right, your horse is driving his hind legs under himself
probably sliding a little on the back feet and sort of "prancing" with
his front feet. Sounds just like the way my old walker mare would cook
downhill at a good 15 mph pace - or more precisely a stepping pace. It
can be done and they can hold up if they can do it right and I am not
sure how well it can be taught.
