rude riders

I like Teddy's suggestion of the red ribbon (kicker or not).

Donna,
A while back, someone on this list claimed to be adept at wielding a
riding crop to keep a horse off of her horse's fanny. I like that idea
too.

Tailgating is a huge problem among the pleasure riders I sometimes ride
with. Glad I don't have to contend with cliff edges and dangerous single
file trails.

Your indignation and anger is justified, but don't let it eat you up.
You only hurt yourself. Make a proactive plan for the future and a
similar situation.

OTOH, if you're faced with a vet bill and temporary loss of the use of
your horse, you should try to get the monetary compensation. But anger
is not likely to get you what you want.

I've found that the "idiots" like you described often find themselves
shunned by the riders who are successful (read finish with a sound
horse) and ride sensibly. They truly "get what they deserve" by not
being included in the community.

Deanna - Ohio (hot temper and has had to learn to manage it)
