RE: dish faces

Well I had a T.B. gelding that was a great-grandson of the great Stakes
winner, Swaps. Swaps had a very dished face and passed this on to many
generations of his decendents. M'Larkey was 16.2 hands, had 9" cannon bones,
size 3-4 shoes and weighed on a scales 1350 lbs. This was one big and
powerful horse. His dam (same very dished face) had the same good bone and
feet. Sooooooo?

I don't know if it applys to Arabs or not, but other breeds, when they
have the super delicate heads, teacup muzzles, etc., often have the same
kind of super refined bone structure all over. Shows up as legs with no
substance and the tiny feet. Bones are pretty much the same all over,
can't have strength one place and delicate elsewhere.

I don't mean nice "clean" heads, etc., just the excessively fragile type.
Not sure where the "dish face" fits here.

Glad to hear others take on this.
