Blazing Saddles

Hey gang -- something just grabbed my crazy head (after a couple of
coffees).
After reading about horses/fires with all the yeas and neighs, I thought
of those people (my good 'ol mom was one of 'em) who ALLOWED cats on the
kitchen counter.  EEEEEEKKKKKK, YUUUUUUCCCCCk.  And people whose dogs
likcktheir butts and then YOUR face, and cats in litter boxes with their
tootsies near your food.  MY OPINION::: I don't eat their food, they
don't eat mine, and we each have our own territory.  Yes, i adore my cats
and critters, but soulmates or not, I won't eat their dirt!!  So, maybe
if the horses can wear diapers around the campfires MAYbe they could be
allowed a seat, but...... enough anthropomorphizing (spelling check??) --
just maybe they don't think exactly like we do and don't have to have a
seat on the fireside bucket/log.  Just think, if the horses didn't like
the jokes or something we said, they might go ballistic and do something
physical!  Okay, at least I am entertaining myself with ideas for a
remake of Blazing Saddles -- you know, that campfire scene!!!  Try the
scene with the horses sitting around farting and whatever!!!  And, par
usual, a completely tangentel info tidbit:  an oldtime farrier told me
years ago that he would give horses a plug of chewing tobacco and they
LOVED it!  Sedative??  Distraction whilst he's toiling away?
hmmmm.

Karen in PA who does NOT allow her cherished, perfect horse to jump up on
HER counter, even though she would love it!
