campfires

Well, I for one am always up for a campfire, complete with story telling and
visiting.  I have only been on one 25 miler so far, but what I really liked
about the sport is the friendliness of the people.  My friend and I were
both doing our first ride and met a lovely gal (Kate) who was a seasoned
rider.  She was incredibly helpful and friendly.  Unfortunately, we were in
an area that did not permit campfires (dry No. CA). but the camaraderie was
still there.  I hope that never dies, since we decided we really liked this
sport and went out and got new horses!
