I would love it if my horse could go from local to regional to national
class shows in halter. I would HOPE it wouldn't mean I have been rewarded
for having a horse with "long backs, long cannons, skinny necks" and "that
flails around the ring like a crippled windmill". Give me a break!!!

The Regional and National halter ring is essentially one of the most corrupt
aspects of the Arabian show scene currently, and if your horse is
not led in by the right trainer, or you aren't being coached from
the rail by said big hair in the AOTH classes, and if your horse isn't
by Ibn Hot Stuff, you have very little chance of acheiving that.
The politics aren't too bad on the local class A level,and you can actually
have some fun there, but once
you step up to Regionals and Nationals, it's a whole different
ballgame. There's too much money and greed involved.
