As in Rider B gets to the VC, decides horse is not going to be able to
complete because horse is lame/exhausted, so Rider B takes card to RM and
says I'm pulling because I have a migraine! If all horses entered were
subject to a vets exam, similar to a finish exam, then the data would be more
beneficial to all. I don't think the rider name has much to do with it and
maybe the horse/mule AERC number would be a more appropriate data field.
Also, what happens to the people who just load up and go without telling
anyone, or the horse/mule that does not have an AERC number? I would like to
know the record of the horse I'm going to buy, but deceitful people will
always find a way around the system. Just some food for thought.
