CA Trail Saved Thanks to Equestrians

Thank you to all of you who emailed the BLM to request that
a popular El Dorado Co. (CA) trail be kept open and the
bridge over the Consumnes River be repaired instead of
being torn down.  The following comments were from BLM
specialist Deane Swickard:
"Every person who contacted us said they used the bridge
for recreational outings, and wanted the bridge to be left 
in place for use by equestrians and hikers," Swickard said,
"They also wanted the bridge closed to vehicles."
    It is very encouraging to know that we can make a
difference by voicing our opinions.
