I don't know anything concrete about SHOC (have heard it's legit, but
also heard a lot of problems through the pipeline), but I want to let
everyone know that there is a registry for colorful sport horses which
is totally above board and has wonderful people running it - the ApSHA
(Appaloosa Sport Horse Association).  --Another reason to go App
instead of Paint! <g>

Hi, Campers,

  This is not endurance related, but I thought I'd pass it on.
One of my clients is attempting to make a business of raising pinto sporthorses.
<bad stuff about SHOC snipped>
So beware of SHOC...Sport Horses of Color. The idea is admirable, I suppose,
but the person taking the checks and supposedly doing the registration is
less than honorable.
