Virus warning (was Re: Re: The Tennessee Stud)



The VBS.kak.worm strikes again in this post. If you are using Outlook
Express and have failed to install the "scriptlet.typelib/Eyedog" patch from
Microsoft (see
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms99-032.asp), this worm
will be transmitted to your machine by simply looking at the e-mail in the
preview screen. For more details, see

details. With the patch installed, a warning that the message contains an
unsafe active-X control pops up and the worm is not transmitted to your
system. If you have previewed this message and did not see the warning, then
you have not installed the patch (or your security settings are set too low)
and you are now infected.

While we're talking about "changing" of words and meanings--think of
Pinto--when I was a kid, a Pinto was two colors and a Paint was three (bay).
Now--they are registries and the meaning is VERY different.   Claudia
