The LDers were offered the opportunity to attend a meeting after the main 
ride briefing so that they could ask questions and be shown how to take a 
pulse.  IMO Ride Management has nothing to apologize for.  They did a great 
job and made every effort to help anyone who needed it (LDers and 50 milers 
alike).
