Re: sloshing

Oh yes!! That is on the agenda here big time. I had trained my mare to be
drizzled with a sport water bottle as we rode so she could cool down during
the summer. The crews from the UAE were trying to dump water bottles on
horses at water stops during our 20 km and we had horses rearing in terror.
Good testimony to the skill and flexibility of our riders than no one fell
off, but I thought we might lose a couple of jeep roofs. <G> What a hoot.
You forget that you had to actually teach some things. Radar now only leaps
about 3 feet sideways when he gets drizzled, and I haven't gotten to squirt
yet. Mind you, he may not get there for a while as he slid on some concrete
while walking out of the stable and is laid up with a swollen front left
fetlock. Meanwhile, I'm looking for a backup if I can find a suitably fit
horse whose rider feels lazy. Gaaa. I'm going to do that 50 km if I have to
run by myself.
