trailer loading & ligaments

Dear ride camp...
gotta make this quick & don't flame for advertising.... BUT.... everyone
should watch John Lyon's round pen reasoning & Leading & Loading and Linda
Tellington Jones Starting A Young HOrse!!!! It covers respect for space &
how to properly lead & load a horse.... better than all the speeches I &
other good horsemen having been giving U (its visual--get it?). John's
methods are safe & tried & true. I have used them on manical, bad, bad
loaders, on green horses, etc. The usual time for training or re-training
a habitual bad loader is one hour.... my worst case scenario is a week, we
started with a wide stock type & gradually got the horse in to a two
horse.... that was the worst case I had ever encountered. I can almost
always do it by myself with my LTJ wand & a 10 ft. rope. Don't quit with
just one loading either.... practice practice practice. The tapes are
normally $40, U can get them thru AERC office or me.... $30 ride camp
special.... include $5 for shipping... two tapes $60... three tapes for
$85. I'll pick up the shipping cost if U buy them both. Will take Credit
Card, Mail check or $ order to below address, e me or call. When u consider
broken equipment, limbs, & time factor.... its cheap!!!

ACL injury... tore mine in Aug. 1993.... had reconstructive surgery 2 months
later.(after I did 5 day Outlaw Trail in a knee brace).... gee it was
already on the schedule.... was riding litly in 2 wks.... competing again
in 6 weeks... probably too soon, a little achey now, but works good.... I
jog downhill, tail up.... don't use knee supports except occasionally on
long/hard 100 milers. I race about 1000 miles a year & ride about 50 hours
a week.
Good luck everyone!!
