Well some of us who are "roughing" it would RATHER be in your camper with you
(hint, hint). The old budget just hasn't been stretched into the camper zone
yet. Getting the horses, trailer, saddles, (luckily the family Suburban
doubles as tow vehicle and bed) and all the other stuff needed for this sport
has taken the past 10 years ( we don't do credit -- husband's idea, not
mine...dang it). I just keep telling myself how lucky I am to be able to
even go to a ride with my wonderful horse(s). Who needs to be able to stand
up while getting dressed? Or eat something hot in the morning (mooching
coffee from ride management works fine for me). You twisted the knife though
with the "clean hair" statement <whine, whine> We've finally started to take
a long hard look at trucks that can handle a camper and horse trailer, so
hopefully soon, I'll be smugly sitting in MY camper lording it over all the
tenters and back of truckers :))))) You all will know when I get my camper
because (in addition to the screams of sheer joy) it will probably NEVER
rain, snow, sleet or hail at a ride again, or even drop below freezing.
Miraculously, all ride port-a-potties will never be full or dirty and there
will always be a full roll of toilet paper in there. And, probably, tent
camping will become "the thing" at rides and I'll be horribly out of place in
my camper.
Sylvia (That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger.....I'm strong enough, I
want a camper!!!)
