Whitney, I only wish the scanty attire thing still worked for me (sigh).  As 
you drag yourself toward middle age you'll find that what once caused people 
to take a second  glance so they could admire your firm young physique now 
causes them to take a second glance so they can get a good laugh.  In all 
seriousness though, I think a pleasant smile and a friendly word go a long 
way to making other trail users more friendly.
