Death Valley Encounter

Hello Ridecampers:

Happy New Year everyone!  I was proud as punch when I woke up this morning
and discovered that the world was basically the same as it had been the day
before.  Of course we were in Death Valley and realized that our small group
of humans *could* be the only ones left.  As we drove home today and saw
that the rest of civilization seemed to be in good shape, I thought how
silly the empending disaster, doom and gloom folks must feel right about
now.

Anyway, we had a great time in the desert!  The Bumgardners put on a great
ride and a hell of a New Years Eve party.  It was my first time there, but
definitely not my last.  My hubby rode his first LD and I *think* he might
be itchin to do it again :-).

Congratulations to Karen Chaton who cleaned house on Rocky.
